The Opportunity: We’re seeking a Senior Network Engineer to serve as a technical escalation point for complex network incidents and to drive the development and delivery of enterprise networking platforms across on-premises and cloud environments. This individual will work independently, provide technical leadership, and partner closely with stakeholders to ensure solutions align with best practices and operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Support project execution, technology planning, and budgeting, collaborating cross-functionally with minimal supervision.
- Monitor and maintain network systems, ensuring availability, integrity, and proper log and backup validation.
- Lead security operations, including vulnerability mitigation, account management, and compliance.
- Provide Tier III support, including capacity planning, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis.
- Mentor and guide team members, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
- Participate in architecture and design reviews to align with organizational standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 5+ years of experience in enterprise networking, security, or incident response.
- Strong background in managing large-scale physical and cloud network environments.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls and infrastructure technologies (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet).
- Automation/scripting experience using Python, PowerShell, or Ansible.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and strong interpersonal skills.
- MUST HAVE: ACTIVE certifications – CCNA, CCNP.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with network architecture and design.
- Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools and observability (e.g. SNMP, NetFlow).
- Prior experience in capacity planning and performance optimization.
