Overview

Seeking a Senior MuleSoft Engineer to support a large scale digital marketing platform initiative. This role will focus on designing, developing, and modernizing enterprise integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and CloudHub 2.0. The engineer will play a key role in advancing microservices based integrations, intelligent workflow orchestration, and scalable API led connectivity to improve system performance, automation, and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather integration requirements and translate business needs into scalable API led connectivity architectures.
  • Design, develop, and implement MuleSoft solutions using Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Exchange, Runtime Manager, and Anypoint Code Builder with a focus on scalability, maintainability, security, and performance.
  • Architect and deploy applications on CloudHub 2.0 utilizing container based runtime capabilities, deployment strategies, observability features, and continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
  • Develop workflows using MuleSoft Dev Agent or Claude Code within the MuleSoft ecosystem.
  • Lead efforts to refactor legacy monolithic systems into microservices based and event driven architectures using distributed integration patterns and asynchronous messaging technologies such as Anypoint MQ and Kafka.
  • Lead migration initiatives from CloudHub 1.0 to CloudHub 2.0.
    Design and implement intelligent agent driven workflows using MuleSoft Agent Fabric and integrate Salesforce Agentforce on the Einstein 1 Platform to enable artificial intelligence driven automation and cross system decision making.
  • Create secure and reusable REST based APIs and implement API level security using OAuth2, JSON Web Tokens, and policy enforcement.
  • Design comprehensive error handling, resiliency strategies, and fault tolerant integration patterns.
  • Develop automated testing routines and perform unit, system, and functional testing to ensure reliability and data accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot complex distributed integration issues and implement scalable solutions.
  • Optimize integration processes for performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance and DevOps teams to define and execute automated testing strategies and continuous integration and delivery workflows.
  • Stay current with MuleSoft, Salesforce artificial intelligence, and enterprise integration best practices.
  • Participate in on call support and provide technical leadership during production incidents.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years of enterprise integration and distributed systems experience with at least 5 years of hands on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform experience.
  • Strong experience designing enterprise grade integration architectures using MuleSoft.
  • Hands on experience with CloudHub 2.0 architecture and deployment models.
  • Experience building intelligent agent driven workflows using
  • MuleSoft Agent Fabric and Salesforce Agentforce on the Einstein 1 Platform.
  • Demonstrated experience modernizing legacy monolithic systems into microservices based architectures.
  • Strong understanding of API led connectivity, distributed systems design, event driven architecture, and asynchronous messaging patterns.
  • Proficiency designing and scaling RESTful APIs.
  • Solid understanding of API security, integration patterns, and data transformation techniques.
  • Experience with Python or Golang and MuleSoft DataWeave.
  • Ability to work with JSON, XML, and CSV data formats.
  • Experience with Mule 3 to Mule 4 migration is preferred.
  • Excellent problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • MuleSoft certification is a plus.
