Responsibilities
Wireless Network Engineering
- Design, deploy, maintain, and optimize enterprise wireless networks supporting 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards.
- Use Cisco Catalyst Center to manage wireless infrastructure, perform assurance monitoring, and automate configuration and policy enforcement.
- Troubleshoot complex wireless issues related to RF, authentication, roaming, and overall network performance.
- Lead wireless projects, platform upgrades, and lifecycle refresh initiatives across enterprise environments.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of wireless services through sound design and operational best practices.
Operations, Support & Collaboration
- Provide senior-level technical leadership for wireless engineering initiatives and operational support.
- Create and maintain documentation for wireless designs, implementation standards, and support procedures.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.
- Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams including network, security, and infrastructure to support business and technical requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Senior-level experience supporting enterprise wireless networks in complex environments.
- Proven hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst Center and Cisco wireless platforms.
- Strong knowledge of WLAN security, RF design principles, and QoS.
- Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and support scalable wireless solutions in enterprise settings.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex wireless performance and connectivity issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading wireless modernization, upgrade, or refresh initiatives.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments with high availability requirements.
- Prior experience collaborating across infrastructure, security, and operations teams.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent professional experience.
